Our Mission

At J&H New Beginnings, our mission is to fight housing insecurity through frontline volunteer work, mutual aid, and art.

Our History

An idea created by two high school best friends in 2017 turned to a national movement. Jacqueline and Hannah originally created J&H New Beginnings as a project for Honors English Class. Their project was picked as a class favorite and received so much support that they felt called to start an organization. They started off doing local bake sales and community clean ups to raise money for homeless donations, national, and international crisis. The first J&H New Beginnings Event was a bake sale on September 10th, 2017 in Mountain House, CA to raise money for the newly homeless victims of Hurricane Harvey (bake sale picture). After high school graduation in 2018, the founders disbanded the organization to focus on college. The spark was ignited again in 2020 during the Black Lives Matter protests when they felt called to pick up where they left of.

“How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”

Anne Frank
